For our Client, a company from the FMCG industry we’re looking for: Financial Controller
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Monitoring and Reporting:
- Oversee the monthly development of crucial financial indicators, creating transparent reports for internal stakeholders and HQ reporting.
- Manage key areas such as trade budget, gross profit, sales, COGS, and OR analysis.
Operational Planning Support:
- Collaborate with the Finance Director to prepare the Operational Plan (OP) and monthly forecasts.
Data Integrity and Control:
- Ensure SAP/BI data integrity aligns with corporate reporting requirements and internal controlling needs.
- Actively participate in Month-End and Year-End closing activities.
Profitability Enhancement:
- Prepare, monitor, and evaluate customer and product Profit and Loss.
- Provide insightful recommendations to the sales department for improving profitability.
Trade Budget Management:
- Administer the trade budget management system, meticulously monitoring and analyzing customer deductions.
- Analyze customer contracts, offering feedback to the sales department on profitability.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Maintain general ledger accounts related to trade budget expenses and promotional activities.
- Monitor sales and marketing initiatives, ensuring effectiveness and cost efficiency.
- Prepare post-audits for significant trade investments, reporting deviations from approved customer P&L.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Drive the annual budgeting process, contributing valuable insights into trade budget management.
- Provide documentation for financial audits related to trade budget and promotional expenses.
- Ensure compliance with applicable IFRS accounting rules.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and oversee year-end inventory valuation in SAP.
- Monitor budget tracks, highlighting and addressing any deviations.
Our requirements:
- University degree in Finance/Accounting.
- 3-5 years of experience in finance and accounting.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Proficient in profitability analysis, local GAAP, and IFRS accounting.
- Working knowledge of SAP/BI and familiarity with Lean Methods.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical approach with the ability to identify gaps and recommend necessary actions.
- Demonstrated ability in priority setting and meeting deadlines.
- Target-oriented and stress-resistant.
