IT Specialist – MES System Developer

We are looking for an experienced IT Specialist – MES System Developer to join our team to develop and maintain manufacturing execution system applications for our plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, experience in configuring/developing MES applications, and the ability to work with multi-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
What will you be doing?
- Design, develop, and maintain MES applications and software systems to meet client requirements and standards analyze and tackle software issues to ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce coding standards and development best practices including but not limited to establishing naming conventions, requiring developers to add comments for functionality, code formatting, error handling, security, code re-use, application performance standards, version control, and documentation requirements
- Collaborate with the project management team to develop project plans and timelines.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure alignment with standards and best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in the MES industry.
- Provide Technical Support to plants as needed.
To perform successfully in the role you need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, or a related field
- Proven experience in software development (3 years)
- Experience installing, configuring/developing, and maintaining MES applications.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as VBS ( Visual Basic Script)
- Proficient user of MES frameworks such as Siemens-Opcenter Execution Medical Device (CAMSTAR) or Siemens-Opcenter Execution Pharma (XFP/Simatic-EBR) is a plus.
- Experience with SQL and database technologies such as Oracle
- Knowledge of software development methodologies such as agile and waterfall
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience with cloud-based MES solutions.
- Experience with IoT technologies and protocols is a plus.
- Experience working in a regulated environment with knowledge of regulatory and industry standards, such as FDA regulations, ISO standards, and GMP.
- Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking in English.
- Openness for travel
